Ordo Realitas is the first episode of Paranormal Order: Deconjuration, the third season of the series Paranormal Order. It aired on October 31, 2020.
Synopsis[]
Six months passed after the events of The Secret in the Forest. Mr. Verity reunites a new group of agents to investigate Elizabeth Webber's disappearance, a veteran of Ordo Realitas, that was hunting an occultist cell only known as the Deconjuration Order.
Summary[]
At nine in the morning, a young florist, Beatrice Portinari, accompanied by Orpheu, a tamed urutau, arrive in front of an abandoned bar, with the name Ape Hangers on the sign. She had been called after receiving a message at 4:13 am. She finds the bar empty and, while waiting, starts playing Tetris in an arcade. After comically losing, stacking blocks instead of fitting them together, Beatrice is surprised by the stealthy approach of Tristan Monteiro,[2] that summoned her to the location. He greets her while eating a cheese bread.
After a brief discussion about the scheduled meeting time, Tristan suggests that Beatrice Portinari go to the bar's vending machine. She soon realizes that it is a fake machine, with buttons for entering a password. Associating it with the message she had received at dawn, Beatrice immediately types "0413" on the machine's numeric keypad. After compliments from Tristan, he instructs the girl to push the device aside. Then a secret passage is revealed that leads to an underground floor, the true base of the Ordo Realitas.
After going downstairs, Beatrice sees two people talking: Erin Parker and Fernando Carvalho.[3] Tristan introduces her as the new member of the Order. Erin, who already knew her, thanks her for her help on an old mission. They decide to present the base to the newbie. After passing Aaron, who Tristan implies is unresponsive, the four head towards the Medical Wing, but are interrupted by the sounds of a man falling down the stairs. He is Marcos Front, badly injured after a confrontation with a Nidere.[4] Together with his colleague Leandro Hans, who accompanies him to a stretcher, they are described as the most famous agents of the Order. Fernando explains to Beatrice that getting involved in dangerous missions is quite common for them. Soon, worried about his bandmate's state of health, Arthur Cervero enters,[5] who is promptly calmed down by his friends. He introduces himself to the newcomer and announces that Mr. Verity wants to talk to the group to introduce them to their new mission.
Then, Arthur Cervero, Beatrice Portinari, Erin Parker, Fernando Carvalho and Tristan Monteiro enter the weapons sector, where Ivete Beicur is behind a counter. As they talk, Arthur goes to the Order's chief's office and finds him talking to his daughter, Mia. Mr. Verity tells him that he must call the group soon after, and when Mia leaves the room and everyone heads there, he launches into a speech about the new phase of the Order, how it is changing its methods and organization. At this, the meeting is abruptly interrupted by Agatha Volkomenn, who first asks to kill Orpheu, and then Jennifer, Arthur's kitten, for one of her experiments. Dry, the man known as Mr. Verity says he will talk to her later and, as Agatha leaves the place, he gives the briefing of the new mission.
About two weeks ago, one of the Order's promising agents, Elizabeth Webber, and her apprentice, Gustavo Dohmer, went missing on an individual investigation, presumably the result of some paranormal interference. With that, the Mr. Verity says goodbye and asks Arthur to take the rest of the group to the research room.
In a dark room, lit only by green computer screens, they find Samuel Norte, Letícia Mantra and Kaiser, who was already waiting for them. While talking about comics with Arthur, Kaiser explains to the group that his software, the S.I.R.C, detected Elizabeth's interest in the activities of a company called Imobiliária Fachada. Letícia complements the information with a list of apartments in a building where the Order agent supposedly stayed.
With that, the group returns to Ivete, where they purchase the weapons and equipment they deem necessary for the reconnaissance mission in the building. On the way, Agatha asks Arthur to bring him any kind of supernatural item found in the quest to use in his experiments. Following a list given to her by a man she calls Luciano, Fernando goes to the Medical Wing and asks the person in charge for a tranquilizer, Marcela Geleerd .
Soon, the team drive to the New Dawn Building in an Order van. There, they divide into two teams: Arthur, Beatrice, Erin and Tristan enter the building while Fernando and Kaiser stay in the van watching the group for bugs. At the entrance, the agents come across the doorman, Josivaldo, who is listening to an Atlético Maneiro game on the radio. Then the manager, Sidney Souza, appears and eventually authorizes the group to go to apartment 501.
On the fifth floor, the group finds an abandoned apartment. On the table in the living room, they find two notes from Liz intended for Gustavo, talking about her research into something called Deconjuration, which she says relates to every case she's been a part of. . While accompanying his colleagues, Arthur has the impression that he is being watched through the entrance door, but Tristan checks and finds nothing. Next to the fridge, Beatrice finds a hole that leads into the apartment next door. Looking through it, the florist discovers that the apartment next door is littered with blood and torn human limbs. In an office, Arthur and Erin find Liz's diary, relating the Deconjuration Order to disappearances and strange events around town. In the master bedroom, Beatrice and Tristan find, next to a copy of the book The Tales of a Needy Creature, by Daniel Hartmann, a recording of Liz, talking about trucks coming in and leave the building at dawn.
Convinced that something sinister is happening in the apartment next door, Fernando and Kaiser join the others on the fifth floor. In the best Thiago style, Kaiser breaks down the door and, at that very moment, the light in the building falls out. As they hear noises coming from the bedrooms, the agents are startled by the sounds of struggle from the hallway. Arthur goes back to check and finds Joui Jouki[6] on the body of an occultist. The former gymnast alerts them to more enemies approaching, while Kaiser, Beatrice and Erin discover Blood Zombies emerging from the rooms. Nervous, Fernando gives way to Luciano Carvalho, who is much more prepared for action.
At that moment, the group is attacked by two fronts, the first into the apartment, and the second towards the elevator. Kaiser manages to kill two Blood Zombies with the help of Tristan who kills one. The doorman Josivaldo and two more ocultists appear through the door of the apartment who are soon killed by Arthur and Luciano. Searching the apartment, Erin finds a note, presumably from the doorman, about shipments in the building's parking lot. And finally, Beatrice opens a door closed by two locks that leads to a room full of fog. Inside it, the flower girl sees a monstrous creature with sharp teeth that runs towards her [7], and the episode ends.
