The Dark Crawler is a malicious creature of Knowledge with Blood complement that is manifested through the fear of being followed. Those who met the Crawler report having seen a strange figure wearing an overcoat hiding in the dark, following them without ever showing its face, and when finally revealed, shows itself as a terrific and scary creature. Even with some reports, not many have survived the crawler's encounter.

Its first appearance out of the Playbook in the 1st episode of Signals from the Other Side,^[1] falling into a trap orchestrated by The Five together with a Café's Pizzaria employee, Mandy, where the Dark Crawler was killed by the group.^[2]

After, the Panacea Industries planned on using a Dark Crawler under the codename of "Mimic" to try to destroy a primal Nidere manifestation, but it was not enough.

Appearance[]

The Dark Crawler presents a bloody humanoid body covered by a beige overcoat and hat with parts of its body merged with its clothes, causing its head to have no eyes as they are being replaced by the hat, only remaining a big grin with sharp teeth. Its right arm is completely fused to the overcoat, having little divisions to its forearm and wrist articulations, forming an almost inorganic body member and its left leg is covered by clothes who resemble pants. Futhermore, the creature has two left arms sticking out of its shoulder, one of them having big claws, and the other one being hidden in the overcoat's silhouette. Its chest is torn apart, with several exposed and desorganized tendons and ribs, along with several fleshy tentacles that circulate and tie another two Crawler's flesh legs. Its tentacles enter the ground and act like shadows, projecting themselves and reaching long distances.

Behaviour[]

The Dark Crawler is a cruel, sadistic and intelligent creature that has the habit of hiding in the shadows and slowly approaching its victims, revealing itself and trying to the max causing the biggest amount of physical and mental damage possible.

By not being able to hide itself in places with good lighting, it behaves beastly and irrationally when in some of these unfavorable places.^[3]
