Clarissa Leão

Clarissa Leão is a former agent from Ordo Realitas that was part of a elite infiltration team called Team Spies, since she was in high school. She was very close to Tristan Monteiro, whom she met when both of them were in school.

After losing both of her best friends and teammates, Clarissa started her pursuit for revenge against Gal, doing whatever it takes to kill him.

Appearance

Childhood

As a child, Clarissa had fair skin, blue eyes, and short blond hair at a height that extended to a part of her neck. In the only photo in which it is possible to see her during childhood, she is wearing a white shirt in a "V" collar, wearing above her a red jacket with a high collar.

Deconjuration

In Deconjuration, Clarissa was a woman in her 20s-30s, still keeping her hair short. She wore a full-length red suit, wearing a black vest with gray details. Among her accessories, it was notable boots with black holster and gloves, almost always seen holding her red glasses in her hand.

Calamity

In Calamity, Clarissa shaved the sides of her hair, throwing the rest to the right side of her face. She wears a troop green vest full of pockets and utensils that can be useful to her during investigations. Wearing the jacket of his childhood friend, Tristan Monteiro, in her shoulders, gray pants, black boots, an yellow bandana tied to each arm that belonged to Alexia, green gloves without fingers that belonged to Samantha, and her characteristic red glasses hanging from her collar. The agent acquired occultist tattoos, possessing the Curse Tech Ritual Symbol on her left arm.

Personality

Clarissa was a cheerful and outgoing woman, especially in the presence of her childhood friends: Alexia, Samantha and Tristan. She worked as a team and was willing to help her colleagues if necessary.

After the traumatic events that took place in the St. Menefreda Orphanage, where Clarissa had her mind controlled to murder her two best friends, the agent became more cold and direct, showing impatience towards the other agents and acting alone. According to Verity, Clarissa has been getting carried away by her hurt and desire for revenge against Gal, something she demonstrates throughout the missions.

Biography

Past

During her high school years, Clarissa meets Tristan Monteiro, with both being trained by Mr. Verity in that time. She goes on her first mission with the two agents and ends up being saved from a monster by the young man, starting a friendship between them. Still in high school, she would form a team with Alexia and Samantha, the Team Spies, under the tutelage of Verity.

Deconjuration

During the 3rd episode of Deconjuration, Clarissa visits Tristan in the medical ward, who had arrived at the base badly injured because of the mission in the New Dawn Building. There, she meets Erin Parker and Fernando Carvalho, having a little conversation with them before they go to the St. Menefreda Orphanage. Clarissa is seen at the Order's base more times analyzing blueprints with her team, before going to another mission. After this mission, Clarissa would talk to Erin again during the tribute to Tristan, giving her a device in case the agent needed help.

In the final day of Deconjuration, Clarissa, along with Alexia and Samantha, was called by Erin through the device. The agents arrived at the St. Menefreda Orphanage with Mr. Verity and Aaron, and then they attacked Gal, that was fighting D-Force. The three agents attack Gal in a synchronized manner, throwing several punches and combined kicks at the occultist. However, during this attack, Clarissa is targeted by a Mind Control ritual performed by the Escribe, and feels her hands pointing their pistols at the two friends. While Samantha is killed by a sword strike from Gal, Alexia has her head blown off by a shot from Clarissa, who after the ritual’s effect ends, screams in despair and horror upon realizing what she has done. Clarissa is then rescued by the Sect of the Masks' shadows and taken to the Ordo Realitas Base.

Calamity

After Kian's returnal, Clarissa begins to train intensively over the following months. The agent was present in Mr. Verity's room while Team Vultures were reporting their findings during the mission in Mato Grosso. There, they concluded that they would have to travel to Italy to acquire the documents stored in the Famiglia Leone's safe. Clarissa volunteered to accompany the team during this trip, demonstrating a strong determination to end this case.

During the flight to Italy, she talks with Rubens Naluti to make sure that the agent is completely focused on this mission, mentioning that she doesn't want colleagues to have the same fate as Johnny Tabasco. The agents arrive in Rome and immediately head to the mansion of the Famiglia Leone. To their horror, they come across a traumatizing scenario at the entrance of the mansion, full of blood and corpses. In one of the residence rooms, they find some Blood Zombies that they quickly defeat. Carina Leone guides her colleagues to the entrance of the base, where the scenario of massacre remains. They enter the base until they reach the vault, which was already ajar. Inside, they find Marco Leone becoming a Blood Zombie being held by an invisible force, which is revealed to be a figure with horns and red skin: The Devil itself.

Clarissa goes all over The Devil, who easily traps her to the wall. She gets extremely angry at the team, which was not going on the offensive. After the Devil leaves, Clarissa yells at them and states that they were not trying hard enough. Carina, very shaken, asks Clarissa if she was insinuating if all the effort of her deceased family had not been enough. Clarissa states that if the enemies were still standing it was because it was not enough and then leaves the room. A zombie invasion begins in the bunker and Clarissa, along with the Vultures, destroys the zombies and manages to get out. After fighting with a Mutilated Zombie in the ground floor, the group faces the Blood Titan in the first floor. In this fight, Clarissa does everything to help the group, especially Balu, who suffered severe damage from the monster. After the confrontation, Clarissa says it was good to realize that Balu still possessed this strength within him, after he killed the creature with his fists.

Carina decides to make a tribute to her family, but Clarissa does not participate. A while later, Rubens, Carina and Arthur hear her crying and go towards her. She, hearing the footsteps, stops crying and gets up stating that there was no one around and that the perimeter was secure. Rubens asks if she was okay and Clarissa gets annoyed. She vents wondering why nothing works for their side and why they always missed the opportunity to kill the Escribes once and for all. She ends up saying that it was impossible to be fine and even attacks Rubens saying to ask Johnny if everything was fine. Rubens walks away, hurt, and Clarissa also leaves the conversation. After this, the group prepares to rest, however, Clarissa decides to stay round and does not stay with the group at night.

The next day, the Order’s reinforcements arrive in Italy, and quickly begin to transform the Leone's Mansion into an operative base. While everyone knew and organized the residence, Clarissa moved away and went to the garden, where she was propped up on a wooden stump. Rubens, who arrived from a visit to the Tower of Pisa, meets the agent and the two exchange words, talking about the loss of their partners and the responsibility they carry. She tells Rubens that she intends to show something to the team, who meet her some time later. Dante offers Clarissa an ice cream, and she guides the agents to a corner of the garden, where she found the symbol of The Devil next to some footprints. Later that day, Team Vultures departs for a mission at The Colosseum, and Clarissa stays with the other agents, ready to intervene if necessary.

After the discovery of the ancient Ordo Calamitas Ruins by Team Vultures, Clarissa and the remaining agents of the Order, along with the Hell Hunters and Obscurité, arrive at the Colosseum and separate into groups to investigate the site. During this investigation, the Metallic Dragons ends up being massacrated by Kian's Markeds, but Clarissa doesn't seem shaken by such an event. The agent had made a deal with Kian himself, where she betrayed the Order in trade of killing Gal, who is seriously injured by Kian before Clarissa’s arrival.

She comes face-to-face with Gal, torturing him on the place, shooting the escribe in the leg, gouging out one of his eyes and even murdering Dagan in front of him. Before she can take full revenge, Clarissa sees Gal disappearing through pink flames, fruit of the choice that The Host gave to Team Vultures in the ruins. After that, the whereabouts of the former agent are unknown, knowing only that she dropped Tristan’s jacket on the floor.

Rituals and Abilities

Rituals

Curse Weapon with Energy Ritual: This ritual allows Clarissa to curse a nearby firearm, causing it to deal chaotic damage to its targets. Clarissa has not yet used such a ritual, being only possible to know of its existence, because the symbol is tattooed on her left arm.

Arsenal

Double Uzis	A pair of machine gun pistols capable of firing consecutive bursts of fire that Clarissa keeps in her vest.
Grenades	Clarissa took some grenades with her for the mission in Italy.
Samantha's knife	Knife with green accents and "Sam" written on the handle that belonged to Samantha Hale.

Trivia

• Clarissa is a reference to Clover, a character from the cartoon Totally Spies!.
• Clarissa is the only one of the trio that the surname is not a derivative of the surname of the voice actress of her correspondent in the cartoon.
• Clarissa has her own theme song: "You Took Everything of Me", played during the 8th episode of Calamity.
