Take the moment and pray to stop being so boring... boring!
Celestine[1]
Celestine was one of the Ordo Calamitas warriors, an organization located in Rome that aimed to destroy the Paranormal. She was searching for the Relic of Death, the last of the Relics of Calamity that Ordo Calamitas didn't find.[2]
She first appeared in the Calamity - Episode 5, waking up in one of the base beds of Ordo Calamitas, doing exercises and leaving her room.[3] DDuring the events of the 5th episode of Calamity, while Team Vultures explored The Colosseum, she was incorporated by Joui Jouki.[4]
During the 6th episode of Calamity, after winning The Host's games, Celestine is ambushed by Veritus, incorporated by Kian. Seeing that situation, Joui incorpores on her, accepting The Host's deal, using the Despair Mask, and thus, becoming The Magistrate.[5]
Appearance[]
Celestine was a fair-skinned woman with short blond hair. She wore armor with some cloths, a scarf, and had the Ordo Calamitas' symbol on a cloth present on her chest.
While Team Vultures was reliving the memories of the warriors of Ordo Calamitas, Celestine had a light-blue aura surrounding her, and her eyes shone in the same color.
Personality[]
Celestine was a very lively and energetic person, constantly shouting and challenging her colleagues, also being rude and disrespectful at times, seen that neither Emperor Nero's presence stopped her from mocking him.[6]
However, after entering The Host's games, she showed herself more cold and methodical to her allies, constantly betraying them, and even mocking Cornelius, her old work colleague, that was in a pitiful paralyzing situation due to the third game of the Host. She also displayed selfish behavior, targeting only her life during games.
Biography[]
Past[]
Little is known about Celestine's past before she became a warrior for Ordo Calamitas. What is known for certain is that besides she was looking for the Relic of Death,[2] she had gone through an intense mission to obtain the Relic of Energy along with her allies the day before.
Calamity[]
After waking up with a question in the back of her mind, after having a dream she couldn’t quite remember, Celestine was drinking and celebrating with her allies their latest achievement, the Relic of Energy. A short meeting with Emperor Nero starts, and during the meeting, her question was answered; inside the Ordo Calamitas Ruins, by touching a statue from her, Joui Jouki is transported to the past, taking over Celestine's body.[4]
Moments after remembering, the meeting is interrupted by an invasion of a Black Ooze seeping through the walls along a huge silhouette in the middle of this ooze, that formed tentacles that were killing everything it touched.[7] Everyone begins to flee through the corridors of the base, until they reach the room where it was contained the recently acquired relic, the Relic of Energy, that for some reason unknown to the warriors, repelled the tentacles, preventing them from entering the place.
After Gaius had been absorbed by the Relic, Celestine, along with the other survivors, were forced to participate in a series of games proposed by the entity that her former companion had become. Celestine played three different games, the "Masquerade Ball", the "Death Rooms" and a final and chaotic duel against the other survivor, Amalia. During the games she shows herself a different person, becoming more rude and selfish, caring only for herself, manipulating the other participants by forming alliances and betraying them afterwards.
Celestine ended up winning the games after Joui took over the control of her body, and convinced Rubens to let Celestine kill Amalia. After that, the woman went to the undergrounds of the base where she had a brief conversation with the Host, that was interrupted by Veritus, that revealed himself as Kian on his wretched semblance.[8] The Host, frustrated with the man’s presence, hands the Despair Mask to Celestine, so she could stop Kian.[9] After putting the Mask, she absorbs all the knowledge, and as knowing it all is losing it all, Celestine's mind gets lost. With the mask, she becomes The Magistrate, the leader of the Sect of the Masks, in order to maintain the balance between reality and the Other Side.[5]
