Biography[]
Past[]
Breno is a young Brazilian basketball promise, recognized for his talent and determination. About to start his international career, he carries a peculiar superstition: avoid cars at all costs after losing his parents in a tragic car accident. In search of new horizons, Breno decides to embark on a bus trip through the interior of Paraná. However, what seemed to be only a stage of his professional journey leads him to the mysterious Goodwill Moon's Camp, a gruesome place that will challenge his convictions and change forever the course of his life.
Gruesome Christmas[]
At December 21, 2022, Breno takes a bus to go spend the Christmas with his grandmother after a winning campaign of games by his basketball team, the Víboras. However, he and 5 more people in the bus are caught on the road in front of the Goodwill Moon's Camp in Inquisidor do Vale, Paraná. With no way out and the sudden disappearance of the bus driver, the passengers decide to go to the camp for help. Breno gets nervous when he notices a sign that says there were many disappearances happening on the spot, but he follows the group.
After entering through the metal gate of the camp, the group splits, with Breno following the group of Ayla, Jorge and Melissa a rather destroyed cabin, with some picnic tables next to it. However, after two of the passengers, Lucio and Mike, come across enraged dogs, Breno and the rest of the passengers run to the largest house in the camp and lock themselves inside. Melissa tries to call the police and gets answered by the emergency service, which warns them about a local car that would do their rescue. The group explores the house and everyone realizes that it was well preserved and tidy for Christmas festivities. They find gifts and a Christmas tree mounted next to a fireplace with a large portrait of a young woman with a glazed and macabre look, wearing a blood-stained dress. When opening one of the gifts, Breno finds another gift box inside, and when opening it, he finds nothing.
Breno is scared and gets terrified of everything, remembering what his grandmother told him about these strange and haunted things. But it doesn’t take long and deputy Aguiar arrives to help the group. He tells them to stay safe inside the house while he makes a patrol of the surroundings. Some time later, a bang is heard by everyone and the light of the house is then turned off.
Breno and the others become afraid and try to look for the control panel of the house to check if it is possible to turn on the lights again. However, when he opens the back door of the kitchen looking for that panel, he notices a hooded figure with a big red "X" floating in front of the face through the trees. Seeing that figure, he tries to close the door, which closes itself, with a message inviting them to play a gruesome game. With this, they feel that to escape from that house, they would need to find the key to open the doors.
The group begins a desperate search for the keys in the house, with Breno turning several shelves of the floor below. In the next room, he hears Ayla screaming, who had come across the killer figure and was stabbed by it. He enters the room and helps Ayla to get up and run, getting face to face with the figure, which stabs him in the back. Everyone runs as they hear the killer say "shhh" while chasing them, and Breno begins to get left behind.
As the group meets in front of the front door of the house, with Mike trying to open it with the key set he had found, everything seems lost to Breno, who sees the figure coming closer and closer to him. However, as soon as he remembers his grandmother’s advice and words, he takes a push with all his strength and gives a super run to where the group was, involving them in the chase. He wants to continue living. Everyone runs to the kitchen and after a few alternating attempts between Breno and Jorge, the athlete manages to open the door, being the first to leave.
The survivors gather in front of the house, but with mixed feelings: the sadness of Melissa and the heated discussion of the boys after seeing the horrible scene of Ayla being killed by the figure. But without thinking twice, the five survivors go in a dark direction from the camp to seek help, finding another cabin. They see, behind it, a kind of generator, with a manual how to turn on. In the indecision of what to do with the device, they hear once again the request for silence, as if the figure was lurking them in the shadows.
The group then divides: Lucio and Mike stay in the generator, while Breno and the others go in the other direction, finding a kind of mini-camp. While Melissa and Jorge find some other things, such as a stuffed bone, a rotting corpse and a meat mask, Breno manages to find a valve to be used in the generator of the cabin. Returning there, they manage to turn on the device, climbing up the stairs of the cabin to enter it. At first, they try to break down the door, but eventually, they think about using some of the keys from before, managing to open it. As they enter, the figure once again lurks in the shadows, striking Lucio from behind. Once again, he asks for silence, as if she mocks the group. They are just a joke to them.
The group enters the cabin, finding an anti-inflammatory, and Melissa goes straight to the phone calling the emergency service to send more cars. However, unhappy that only the deputy Aguiar is available, she curses the person on the other side and hangs up in the face. The group waits for a while inside the cabin, until they hear the police siren. Through the window, they see the car parked next to them. Breno and Jorge leave the cabin and walk towards the car. And meanwhile, the sound of the silence request is heard... but not outside.
The figure begins to chase who was inside the cabin. Breno and Jorge, although initially not involved in the scene, soon need to run when the others approach, followed by the figure. While the figure stabs and kills Mike and Lucio, Breno and the other two survivors manage to get close to Aguiar, who orders them to get in the car. The figure approaches the police officer, who screams at it, appearing to be afraid. The deputy then puts down his gun and shows friendly to the figure. Calling her Jae and mocking the number of deaths, he pulls a mask. The mask of the Night Mutilator. The two killers turn to the three survivors in the car and walk towards them.
The three are kidnapped by the assassins. For three days, Jorge, Breno and Melissa were trapped in the attic of Juno House, hooked and gagged, being mocked by Aguiar and forced to drink water, only to stay alive and suffer more. But a glimmer of hope comes when they hear the sounds of people walking under them, trying to open the attic. Breno is the first to get out of the hook, helping the other two to come out, with difficulty. After a while recovering, the three go to the attic door, hearing footsteps and screams coming from below. They try to open with some of the keys of the set that they had, managing to open it.
As they pull the door, they notice Jorel, Ricardo and Shanyqua, who climb the vertical staircase and meet with the trio. As Jorel and Jorge meet again and start arguing about why they were there, with Shanyqua and Melissa coming into conflict too, and Jorge quickly comes down to pick up Joto, Lucio's puppy, in the bottom floor, Breno and Ricardo take a barrel and put it on top of the attic hatch, to prevent the entry of the killers, making quite a noise in the process. And soon after they put it on, they hear closer steps and a sound of a stopwatch. The Night Mutilator just looks at the door, shrugs and walks away. The rest of the group investigates the other side of the attic, finding a dead cop hanging on a hook. While they find some things in this corpse, like a radio and a paper indicating a frequency to be tuned, the six begin to discuss about the information that each trio had with them, about the history of Alice Lucina, the rituals she and her husband did, the grave previously dug by Jorge, among other matters. And when Ricardo notices a staircase next to one of the attic windows, quickly the six organize to get out of the attic there. After some obstacles, with the ladder almost falling, everyone manages to get down.
After the descent, they start walking around the camp, soaked by rain. The group notices the old chest that Jorel and Shanyqua had noticed, but when the girl tries to open it, she doesn't notice a bear trap placed right in front of her, trapping her foot and immobilizing her. The rest of the group tries to free her, while Breno opens the chest with one of the keys from the set, revealing some bizarre items, such as a revolver, the same mask that Melissa had found before, two grenades and a red lock with several symbols. However, while the group tries to help Shanyqua, they don't notice the silence.
The sound of the request for silence. Coming as a shadow, the figure passes through everyone, appearing behind Shanyqua and stabbing her in the back. At the same time, on the other side, the Night Mutilator cornered them. With this, Breno, who previously tried to free Shanyqua, decides to run along with the other survivors, leaving her only with Ricardo. Soon after, the athlete is the only one to meet with the rest, while the cries of Shanyqua dying for the killers echo from behind.
After the escape, the rest of the group continues to run for something to help them, finding the bus that the first trio was before. Walking a little further forward, they find the cabin where Ricardo had been hooked. Breno, noticing a radio on the table, turns it on, putting in the frequency indicated by the card of the police officer, contacting someone on the other side of the line, which was part of a kind of group: the Blue Condominium Detectives.
The person tells them to set up a plan and join together to fight the assassins as they prepare to go to the scene, assuming and stating that the assassins could be strong but they are dumb. As the group discusses how to fight the killers, they recall a paper talking about a poem of Santa fighting an evil force, and seeing that the drawings of the figures looked like the killers, they try to come up with a plan to confront them. Meanwhile, Ricardo comes down from the cabin and finds both Night Mutilator's Hunting Dogs. Melissa stands in front to try to distract them with the plush bone she had, succeeding. However, when Joto starts moving inside her shirt and falls down, she fails to maintain the distraction, and one of the dogs jumps on her, biting her arm. With this, Breno and Ricardo try to help her, but when Ricardo tries to attack one of the dogs, he awakens a bestial force along with flashes of memory and ends up breaking the animal in the middle. They don’t have much time to think, because the Night Mutilator saw everything and now leaves quickly to find his dog’s killer.
Breno also runs, but then realizes that he is not the target of the killer. He sees Aguiar furious running after Ricardo, while Jorge, Melissa and Jorel get into a fight, which ends soon after Jorel wearing the mask of the Menhuntress and murder Melissa in cold blood with the revolver found in the chest. Seeing this, Breno becomes shocked and decides to run away to another cabin, finding more bizarre things, but especially a antenna like a staff. As he holds it, he begins to open a huge smile, but feeling a huge frustration.
After leaving the cabin, he goes to Juno House again, meeting with Jorge, who had just come out of a secret tunnel under Juno House. The two try to argue about what to do, until both are approached by Jorel, with the gun in hand and wearing the mask. The boy threatens both, pointing the gun at Jorge and making the two run away. As they run away, the figure comes behind Jorel, giving a light laugh and starting to talk with him. At the end of the conversation, both killers decide to compete to chase Breno and Jorge. However, the two throw one of the grenades they had found, a smoke grenade, starting to run to get away from the killers. Jae, realizing that their favorite part has arrived, takes the impulse to run, but Jorel, who was already decided on what he would do, pulls her hood, revealing Jae’s face and shooting him in the face, starting a duel between the two.
Jorge convinces Breno to come back to help Jorel, and as Jorge advances towards Jae, Breno stands behind him and asks him to move away, pulling the pin of the remaining grenade and preparing to throw it like a basketball. He throws and the flashbang bursts, stunning the three. In this, he takes advantage and attacks the killer with the staff that he had found in the destroyed cabin. The three come together to attack Jae, tearing a bit of his jacket. But she moves away and points behind them, saying that now they were screwed.
When they look back, they see a big man, wearing a 50’s diver’s helmet, this being Dalmo, also known as the Colossus, and the bus driver who took Breno and the others to the camp. However, as he begins to advance towards them, a car horn and a scream echo from behind of Dalmo, who is run over by a huge van with a symbol. Leaving the car, a woman and two other men, holding guns and blades, who ask the trio to hold Jae, while Dalmo remains on the ground, run over by the car. During the fight, Jorel tries to shoot Jae, but ends up hitting his brother. He, after killing his brother in cold blood, begins to feel lost. He is no longer Jorel. He is the Menhunter. Breno tries to hold him, being helped by the agents of the Order, and throws Jorel inside the van, holding him together.
After this chaos, the three young men approach Breno to try to comfort him, saying that he is now safe. The young blond man presents himself as Hugo, saying that now, no one else will die there. Suddenly, several black vans arrive on the spot with the same symbol. The symbol of Ordo Realitas. Several people get off the vans, starting to search the place, while some begin to take Aguiar, who had been stuck on the pier of the camp.
The young man with the beret tells Breno that he was a hero, for calling them and preventing more people from being killed by the assassins. And now, he will be taken home, but that he can choose if he wants to fight to stop the Paranormal with the Order. So, Breno gets into one of the vans to leave this place. While he does that, he thinks of his grandmother and the promise he made to see her at least once a year.
