The Boogeyman is a Knowledge creature manifested through the fear felt by countless children that heard from their parents the story of a creature that would take them if they desobeyed them. Now, the monster feeds on terrified children who have had their sanity destroyed by living close to it.
Appearance[]
The Boogeyman is a creature with varied sizes, as it can shrink its size, but at its normal form the monster is big and long, with eyes that shine in gold covered by its beige cloak and several pale humanoid arms and legs coming out from under the robe. Some arms and legs have some types of golden ornaments and, in its two front arms, there are ornaments that resemble golden and sharp claws.
Behavior[]
The Boogeyman has the habit of sneaking into little children's houses and hiding perfectly. For being a smart creature, it can communicate with its victims through whispers and bizarre nursery rhymes while they sleep without knowing what is happening, slowly destroying their minds, causing terror, paranoia and hallucinations. When one of the Boogeymans's victim's mind is destroyed by the monster's contant acts, it reveals itself in a traumatizing way to terrorize its target as much as possible before devouring them.
Despite much of its communication being based on bizarre songs, certain nursery rhymes can put the Boogeyman in some kind of trance. Furthermore, the creature seems to be enfuriated by the sound of a child crying, doing everything it can to silence the sound.
Trivia[]
- The Boogeyman was not in the initial plans for The Hands Who Welcome Us, the original idea being to create another creature for the mission. It was Cellbit who gave the idea for the creature to JambƓ, adapting the creature with the story that it was hunted before the case, which is why it is weakened.[1]
