You will all die. You have just met... your death.
Master[1]
The Black Death Carrion, or just Carrion, is a Death paranormal creature with complement of Knowledge that arises from a failed attempt to give consciousness to the entity of Death in Reality, due to the Spiral Symbol marked on its skull, having used the deceased body of Virgulino Batista.[2]
Its first appearance was in the 5th episode of The Secret in the Forest as "Subject 04" from Project HC,[3] this being the transformed Virgulino's body, appearing in the confrontation of the Haunteds against the Team H and the Scoundrel Vultures in the abandoned house.[4] The creature was killed by a clear shot from Cesar Cohen in the middle of the Spiral Symbol marked on his forehead.[5]
Appearance[]
The Carrion is a thin and muscular humanoid monster with a symbol on its forehead, with about 7 feets in height. Its anatomy is similar to that of a real figure of human musculature, which is formed by the Black Ooze that comes out of the back of his head and intertwines with tendons. In its head it has the rest of a rotted human skull in its last stages of decomposition with a brownish coloration. On it is the Spiral Symbol carved into her forehead emanating a red glow.[4]
Behavior[]
Its behavior is distinct from other bestial creatures, demonstrating contempt and superiority towards other forms of life. He is calm and precise, even when preparing an attack. The creature's way of walking is graceful, somewhat arrogant, and its image exudes discomfort to those who observe it. As soon as he is attacked, he looks at his attacker and uses its Hypnosis to control him, using his body to attack his allies.[6] As the shell of his manifestation cannot seem to contain his manifestation easily, the Carrion appears to become more irrational as time passes.
Abilities[]
- Paranormal Physicist: The Carrion's body is incredibly resistant to bullets, being virtually immune to bullets.[7] The creature has superhuman speed and uses its strong legs to jump meters away when selecting a target, digging its claws into the living being in order to knock it out or kill it. Its only known weakness is its half-open skull, in particular the Spiral Symbol which has proven susceptible to damage.
- Spiral Hypnosis: Once eye contact is made with his victim, the Carrion is able to telepathically control him, should the target fail to resist, leaving him in a trance-like state in which he can only visualize the Spiral Symbol on the creature's skull.[8] Its control over its victims is absolute, causing them to attack their own comrades, as in Ivan's death,[6] or else attack themselves, as in Brúlio Cervero's death.[9] Those controlled by the Carrion they expel black ooze like tears.
- Reanimate Bodies: By extension, another ability that the monster has is to revive dead people's bodies, using them to their advantage, thus creating undead with completely black eyes that act in a bestial and aggressive way.[10]
Hosts[]
Virgulino Batista[]
Virgulino Batista was the first host of the Dimensions Parasite in the form of an introduced Carrion. When what he was doing with his family was discovered by the city's population, he ended up being lynched and later buried alive in his backyard to suffocate to death.[11] After a century, his remains were discovered by Valter Luz, one of the Five Guardians of the Project Holy Cradle.[12] His body was then imprisoned in the old home's basement and had the Parasite Spiral Symbol carved right into the forehead of his rotting skull, causing Virgulino's "rebirth" to begin with the birth of the Carrion.
