Bisteca is the kitten and community animal of Tipora Island, and is constantly seen playing with the village's residents, especially with Amora Aleno and Ian Suna.
Bisteca had his first appearance in the 1st episode of The Secret in the Island, appearing with Amora Aleno, who was petting him.[1] He appeared later having been captured by Pedrinho and Vitinho, and being rescued by Milo and Olivier.[2]
Appearance[]
Bisteca is a tabby cat with orange fur with some white parts, and brown eyes. It usually appears dirty with dirt and clay.
Personality[]
Bisteca appears to be a very docile cat, acting sociably towards the children who live on the island daily and new visitors.
Biography[]
Past[]
Bisteca arrived on Tipora Island approximately 7 years ago, being brought by Adrian Vurtoren at the request of Iara Suna so that his son Ian would have a kitten .[3]
Over time Bisteca stopped being just Ian's cat and became Tipora's community kitten, playing and being looked after by the various village's residents.
The Secret in the Island[]
Day 1[]
For another day Bisteca was next to Amora, spending time with her and witnessing the meeting of Milo and Barnabé in the merchant's store.
Later, Bisteca is caught by Pedrinho and Vitinho from Ian's hands. He is taken to the middle of the forest while being thrown and mistreated by his brothers, until Milo and Olivier appear to rescue him. He is thrown into a tree where he remains scared until Milo climbs up and calms him down, saving the little cat.
Day 2[]
The next day, Bisteca was walking through the forest and came across Angelina, Amelie, Vagner and Olivier. The kitten is caught by Angelina and taken back to the village, where it is released again.
While walking around the village, Bisteca is again provoked by the Nemiera brothers, this time being attracted by a small snack, however, before being kidnapped again, Bisteca is saved by Bárbara and Amelie, who argue with Pedrinho and Vitinho until the two ran away. With Bisteca in hand, the two head into the forest.
There they begin to bring several flowers closer to Bisteca's snout, looking for Cat's Foot, a flower that would serve as an antidote to the poison that was acting on Milo. After several attempts, Amelie and Bárbara finally find the flower they were looking for, bringing it closer to Bisteca who loses control and starts trying to escape, being calmed down by Amelie in the process. He is then released and leaves alone for the village.
During the Church Barbecue, Bisteca is seen sitting on top of the well. There he is called by Ian who is worried about the animal, until Milo arrives and manages to attract the cat, as it had recovered thanks to the flower. Bisteca is caressed and handed into Ian's hands.
Day 3[]
The next day Bisteca is only seen sleeping at Milo's house, being woken up and scared by him, who was accompanied by Olivier.
Day 4[]
The very next day, Bisteca remained sitting in front of the village church, while a rally took place with residents there. He is seen and receives affection from Wanderley, who soon after sneezes due to his allergy to cats.
Day 5[]
On the fifth day, Bisteca was hiding inside the Tipora police station after the attacks by the infected animals. There he is taken care of by Olivier and handed over to Angelina, who, despite being reluctant, remains taking care of the cat.
Later the same day he sneaks to the top of the police station's evidence locker, also being taken to the scene of Bartô's death where he becomes angry and runs away.
Day 6[]
During the sixth day, Bisteca is hidden in the church with the residents, under the advice of Barnabé. Bisteca remains motionless until he is called by Olivier, escaping from the place after the Imaginary Friend appears, almost being attacked by Olivier who was under the creature's effects, but managing to get out well and protecting himself with the other residents.
Day 7[]
At dawn the next day, after the conflict, he is seen by the Florences and by Walter and Arthur Cervero, two agents sent from the Order. Everyone pets the cat, who later leaves the island alongside Olivier and Amelie.
Trivia[]
- Bisteca's name was chosen by Lorena, Cellbit's girlfriend. She is also the author of the Bisteca drawing that Amora gives to Milo.
- Bisteca was inspired by Cellbit and Lorena's cat, Gengibre.
- Originally, Bisteca was going to be called Alecrim, but this idea was later disregarded.[4]
- It became a recurring joke within the community and players that Cellbit was always looking for new ways to kill Bisteca, from being placed almost falling into the island's well, or being thrown into the air by Pedrinho and Vitinho.
