Arnaldo Fritz

Arnaldo Fritz was a main character of the Paranormal Order universe. He was a famous actor, who used his renown as a front for his secret activities with the Order, being one of the most experienced and renowned agents of the organization. Along with Mr. Verity, he was responsible for some of the organization’s major missions, such as those that resulted in the deaths of Virgílio Scelto and Juan Davo, being also responsible of training Team Kelvin.

He was father of Thiago Fritz, one of the protagonists of The Paranormal Order and The Secret in the Woods, who after his supposed death under supernatural circumstances followed in his footsteps and became a member of the Order. As a philanthropist, he considered himself the godfather of the young people who lived in the St. Menefreda Orphanage, financed by Arnaldo himself, such as Beatrice Portinari and Dante, two protagonists from Deconjuration and Calamity.

Your findings about the events related to the entities of the Other Side are kept in a Grimoire that he left in the possession of the Order. However, during his investigation of how to stop Kian, the first occultist, he found out that he would need a relic. At the same time he realizes that, the Relic of Energy emerges in his watch, choosing him. With that, he goes to the orphanage to stop Kian, using the Relic, and being definitely amalgamated to The Host.

Signals from the Other Side

The young Arnaldo Fritz had tidy brown hair, a thin beard and red lens glasses. He wore a half-long grey coat over a reddish social shirt with a blue tie and a black vest. He wore brown pants and black shoes, and was also wearing gloves to have no link to the paranormal items he had brought to the group The Five.

Deconjuration and Calamity

Arnold was a man in his 50s, with neat hair and a brown beard, plus a thin, rounded glasses. He wore a half-long jacket over a button-down shirt and a red tie. He also had a small pocket watch made of gold, which had the photo of his son, Thiago Fritz, inside.

After being consumed by the Relic of Energy, Arnaldo became a being entirely composed of the irrational and chaotic matter characteristic of the element, alternating between shades of purple, pink, and blue. He now has a gas mask with The Host's Symbol with eyes glowing in purple, which became fixed on his face. On his chest comes a cable connecting to his pocket watch on his left arm. He also has a purple aura on his body. All over his body are wrapped several cables, and his clothes are the same as the day the relic manifested.

Biography

Past

Arnaldo Fritz was born on an unknown date, but throughout his life he became a famous and charismatic actor, national and international projection, starring several films such as the trilogy "Eric Typhoon", composed by "Eric Typhoon: The Thunderous Explosion", "Eric Typhoon II: The Detonating Explosion" and "Eric Typhoon III: The Explosive Explosion", but the fourth film was cancelled due to lack of budget.

Always making a good impression by being extremely friendly and sociable, on 1990, Arnaldo met the stuntman Cristopher Cohen, during the filming of a film in the United States, and the two soon became best friends.

In that period, he discovered about the existence of Ordo Realitas, being trained to combat the paranormal and becoming one of the most respected agents of the organization. He also accompanied Verity in his first case, where it occurred in an abandoned penitentiary that had become a base for occultists. At first, Verity thought the site was being used for ritual use and did not suspect anything too heavy going on. However, they and their team witnessed 6 Blood Zombies devouring an elderly man and his puppy as soon as they entered the place. It is not known the outcome of the mission and in what region and time it happened.

Through missions and cases that participated, cooperated with several experienced agents, some of them being: Cristopher Cohen, Chizue Akechi and Francisca Parker, also meeting very powerful and influential people such as Marco and the Famiglia Leone. Also, Arnaldo was the mentor of Team Kelvin. Under his tutelage, Miguel Cariad, Mariana Larona and Kenan Thomas became the most efficient team of the Order in the national territory.

Signals from the Other Side

At October 30, 1997, Arnaldo, along with Verity, Chizue and Aaron, decide to go to Café's Pizzaria, a little busy roadside pizzeria in the region of Minas Gerais, but which also served as a basis for the study of occult knowledge that Arnaldo kept secret along with Morato Vertaler, a former Order agent who had been kicked off for cataloging paranormal creatures. He meets Calisto, his pupil in occult studies, and the two soon streamline the process: give paranormal itens to The Four, a group led by Morato and composed by Chico Albuquerque, Alexandre, Guizo and Lírio Tellini. Arnaldo and Calisto also explain about Morato’s history and talk about how the Order and his teammates cannot know about Arnaldo’s involvement with the occultist means, especially Verity. After making the delivery of the items and get back his forgotten watch, Arnaldo says goodbye to the group, reinforcing to them that the goal for the investigation of the mysterious signals is not to kill the creatures, but to investigate them and document them.

The Devil, Kian and the Relic of Energy

In mid-1998, Arnaldo and two more agents of Ordo Realitas, investigate a case in Bariguara, at Mato Grosso, involving Elza Verlaz and Eusébio Teixeira. Juan Davo, the occultist involved in this case, is stopped from performing the ritual to bring The Devil and ends up being killed, even after becoming a freak with blood.

But it was in 2002, after months of investigation, that a team of experienced Ordo Realitas agents composed of Arnaldo, Mr. Verity, Francisca Parker and Chizue Akechi, with the help of Cristopher Cohen, confronts the first occultist, called "Kian", and his mysteriosu Cult of Knowledge, that called themselves Escribes. They overcome the millenarian cult and its leader with a strange ease, but were unsuccessful in saving the lives of some victims from the sacrifice of a ritual performed there by the occultists. It was the alleged death of Kian that triggered the fall of paranormal cases for 15 years, but according to Anthony Scelto's diary, "Tirigan", it was part of the plan to make the Order "lower their guard" until Kian returned, since one of the victims who had been rescued was Leonardo Gomes, who came to harbor Kian's consciousness in his body.

It is known that during this time, Arnaldo constantly made donations, using money from his acting career, to various orphanages, such as the St. Menefreda Orphanage. He visited the places and kept in touch with the children whenever possible, such as Beatrice Portinari, Dante and Bruno, also being responsible for paying for the surgery to treat Dante’s atrioventricular block. Despite this, his visits were not only to keep them happy, but also to watch Leonardo Gomes and prevent children from being exposed to the paranormal, since orphanages are some of the places that cause more damage in the Veil.

Arnold became obsessed with studying the paranormal and made several discoveries, some openly publicized among the Order, such as the effectiveness of using blades during scouts, while more important ones were cataloged in his grimoire, like the existence of "The Devil" and his findings about the Relics of Calamity, four paranormal objects that grant a great power to its wielder, an attempt to figure out how to use the Paranormal against the Other Side itself. This grimoire was stored in a safe behind a painting in Verity's room, but with much of its pages gone and others kept by others friends.

In 2009, Arnaldo went to The Colosseum of Rome, entering Semper Clausa through an unknown way, thus, meeting The Magistrate. Amidst the conversation between them, Arnaldo has a vision of the past, where Celestine meets Amphitruo and Veritus, now revealed to be Kian. In this past, Celestine makes a deal with Amphitruo, wearing the Despair Mask, becoming the Magistrate and causing Kian, at least for that moment, to be stopped. After Arnaldo returns from the vision, the Magistrate grants him the right to a question, then questioning how to stop Kian. The Magistrate reveals that only a relic could destroy him, by being able to change the rules, then saying that one of the relics had already found him. Arnaldo’s pocket watch begins to glow purple and the Relic of Energy manifests itself.

"Death"

With Leonardo Gomes' adoption being revoked to the St. Menefreda Orphanage in 2005, a drastic change of appearance, his investigation into the Deconjuration Order and having the Relic of Energy, Arnaldo decides to confront him knowing that Kian was inside the child.

At February 11, 2009, Arnaldo, with the power of The Host, starts a game with Kian, the "Orphanage Game", a perfect game for The Host, because Kian would die due to him being unable to use rituals. Because of this, a huge fire resulted, destroying the site completely. However, something happened: Dante and Jasmin, by their own free will, saved Leonardo Gomes from dying in the fire, which frustrated the Host’s plans. Because the Order did not know what happened, they interpreted that Arnaldo had been killed in the fire. The next day, a report was made announcing the death of Arnaldo, and according to it, the actor had died in a plane crash.

The circumstances of Arnaldo's "death" were never properly explained to the real world, which caused his son Thiago, to start an investigation leading him to find out about the Order, arousing his interest in the organization. Thiago always carried with him a pocket watch that was a gift from his father, as a kind of amulet. He is said to have entered the journalist career in order to relate his father’s stories.

During the 4th episode of The Secret in the Woods, when Thiago has a vision in the place known as the Infinite Labyrinth, Cristopher Cohen, already deceased, appears to him and apologizes to him for not being able to protect Arnaldo. Later, Thiago, honoring Cristopher after his sacrifice against the Aracnasite, puts his watch on his makeshift grave in Carpazinha, in reference to the friendship of the two actors.

Calamity

Arnaldo remained himself as the wielder of the Relic of Energy, and consequently, the Host, during all the years presumed dead. By joining forces with The Devil, he planned a game for Team Vultures, since the battle against The Needy till' the Ordo Calamitas Ruins. After the team won the games, they meet face-to-face, with the Host offering them a proposal to destroy the Knowledge and leave the Calamity on the hands of the Markeds. Having its proposal rejected, it turns against the agents in a final battle, with Arnaldo’s body being disintegrated after his mask was torn off by Joui. Arnaldo’s mind still remains amalgamated to the Host, but the entity remains without a wielder.

Paranormal Items

Paranormal Pulse Emitter: A box covered with Sigils of Knowledge, with golden details and some cables and wires coming out of a hole. This item is used as a kind of "bait", sending pulses of one of the Other Side Elements by the choice of the activator, attracting nearby creatures corresponding with the chosen element and pushing creatures away from the opposite element.

Arsenal

Sword	A common sword, except for a red ribbon tied to the tip of its hilt. It was the only weapon used by Arnaldo, and he wielded it spectacularly well.

Trivia

• During the 2nd episode of The Paranormal Order, Arnaldo was mistakenly called "Álvaro Fritz" by Thiago. According to Cellbit, Rakin didn't remember his name because the audio where the name was recorded had been damaged, also confusing it with the name of the director of the Nostradamus School, Álvaro Augusto. It was corrected in The Secret in the Florest.
• Arnaldo could be revealed as The Host in Deconjuration. The crystal dagger's flashback from the chapel's puzzle in the St. Menefreda Orphanage would show the moment that Arnaldo would definitely become the wielder of the Relic of Energy.
• Arnaldo and The Host are connected to the past of most of the protagonists of Paranormal Order:
  • Arnaldo bankrolled the St. Menefreda Orphanage where Dante, Beatrice, Johnny, Henri and Gal lived; was friend of Cristopher and Balu; was the father of Thiago Fritz; was friend of Marco Leone, father of Carina; killed the uncle of Damir and Boris, Juan Davo; and participated in the operation that killed the entire family of T-Bag along with Luciano, Fernando's husband.
  • As The Host, he amalgamated Erin's grandma, Francisca Parker to itself; caused the entrance of Cesar to the Order; and captured Rubens and Johnny in two of his games.
• The original idea in Signals from the Other Side was to Arnaldo appear in the first episode, along with Calisto. This was discarded due to a setback Rakin had on the day of the episode.
• Arnaldo Fritz has two music themes: "Arnaldo Fritz" and its variation in Signals from the Other Side.
