- For the episode with the creatures' name, see Signals from the Other Side - Episode 1.
The Aliens are paranormal creatures associated with extraterrestrials and the Elements of Energy and Knowledge, categorized by Morato Vertaler. The Aliens seem to follow a pattern: some Aliens seem to act in a "synchronized" way, as if they were conspiring for some purpose. Others are always associated with "extraterrestrials" because of visions of UFOs and abductions of victims. These creatures seem to be interested in the victims, constantly attempting to communicate.[1]
Original Alien[]
The Outsider is a mysterious Alien who rarely appears to people, able to erase any memories related to him. The Outsider has two elongated arms with long fingers being covered by a large mantle and its head seems to be connected to its body by several cables, while wearing something similar to a mask with a cut in the middle resembling the cut on the face of the Doppelgangers.
As supposed by Morato, the Outsider is the origin of all other Aliens cataloged and not catalogued by him, generated through larvae incubated by the Outsider in other people. Consequently, the Aliens "inherit" characteristics of the own Outsider, as the desire to multiply, the search for human knowledge or even the extreme relationship with technological devices, thus arising the "Classes of Aliens".
Classes[]
All the Aliens have different characteristics, as well as different ways of being recognized. However, it is possible to notice some similarities between certain creatures, categorizing them into 3 different categories: Parasites, Camouflageds and Psychonics.
Parasites[]
The Parasites are Aliens who have no direct interest in the communication or abduction of their victims, only seeking to use them as a method of reproduction of new Aliens. The Parasites seek a host to parasitize and hide within them to begin breeding.
It is possible to identify the presence of a Parasite in an environment where at least 3 of the following characteristics are detected:
- Traces of acidic "Green Plasma";
- Animal infections;
- Contaminated water;
- Trail of body dragging on;
- "Larvae" in humid places.
Centomorph[]
The Centomorph is a Parasite that closely resembles a giant centipede with several eyes and strange "fingers" around the body. This alien lodges in the thoracic region of a host for weeks, transforming it into a kind of "zombie" without will and energy, only being able to be removed by the host itself using all its strength to expel it.
Fetilapus[]
The Fetilapus is a Parasite with a bizarre appearance, having thin contorted arms and a large head. It mysteriously manages to parasitize a victim, multiplying incessantly and dividing itself at the end of the process, emptying the body of the host. The only way to remove it from the body is to beat the host to the spot where the parasite is housed.
Interfloral[]
The Interfloral is a Parasite that looks like two huge hands merged into an elongated gray body with several eyes scattered around it. This parasite invades a victim’s body during sleep and lodges in their brain, then begins to transform the inside of the host into a nest of larvae. To remove it, the host must undergo a thermal shock without the interflorate feeling threatened.
Omatidius[]
The Omatidius is a Parasite that is like a deformed jellyfish with a huge eye in the middle. This alien can develop a larva in a host by a kind of "transmission" without the need to interact with each other, then lodged in the victim’s chest. To expel it from the host, it is necessary to weaken the Omatidius through an epilepsy.
Camouflageds[]
The Camouflageds are Aliens who take a constantly invisible form, being extremely intelligent and manipulative, always present in the environments observing their victims, being the main responsible for abductions. They seem to have the essential function of communicating and watching, looking for specific targets in their "hunts".
It's possible to identify a Camouflaged in an environment where at least 3 of the following characteristics are detected:
- Fingerprints with strange patterns;
- Specific smells in the area such as burnt or sulphur;
- Symbols and sigils drawn in the environment;
- Floating objects;
- Burnt and dried plants;
- Periodic vibrations and tremors in the area.
Fummu[]
Fummu is a Camouflaged with a shapeless body on fire and a kind of tube in what appears to be its mouth. This Alien is much smarter and always seeks to "corrupt" or "learn" about its target, as through aptitude tests. The only way to make it visible is to fill the environment in which it is with some kind of gas or smoke.
Macrobium[]
The Macrobium is a Camouflaged that looks like the deformed junction of a child with an elderly person, managing to hide in the environment manipulating the perception of people around it to ignore it. If the Macrobium is distracted by a trap made of Death or Blood, its mental manipulation will be interrupted, consequently becoming visible.
Rasthropod[]
The Rasthropod is a Camouflaged that closely resembles a giant slug that releases an extremely strong smell. The Alien’s method of abduction consists in absorbing the victim and undoing it within. To be able to see a Rasthropod, it is necessary to observe it by any image capture device. However, it is not possible to archive the image of this Camouflaged without the file being corrupted or destroyed.
Reptilidian[]
The Reptilidian is a Camouflaged like a giant and deformed chameleon able to camouflage itself in the environment and become extremely fast and dangerous. If it is hit by fire, it will attempt to camouflage itself in the flames and begin to glow, having its position revealed.
Psychonics[]
The Psychonics are Aliens that act as hallucinations, having no tangible form, as if they were in the mind of their victim. The form of communication of these creatures is always given by electronic devices and transmissions, using mysterious secrets that are formed from the language of these Aliens trying to adapt to human language. Each of the Psychonics has a different and unique type of alphabet that can be translated and decoded with a specific substitution cipher.
It's possible to identify a Psychonic in an environment if at least 3 of the following characteristics are detected:
- Interference from captured mysterious transmission signals;
- Unnatural behaviour of the ecosystem;
- Malfunction of the electronics;
- Shared déjà vus, like confused memories;
- Visual hallucinations;
- "Possessions".
Spectra[]
The Spectra is a Psychonic similar to the concept of "ghosts", having the ability to cross walls and float through the air. This Alien can "infect" the thoughts of people with ideas that are not originally theirs. Because it has its origin tied to the transmission waves of a specific object, this object must be destroyed to defeat it.
Limiant[]
The Limiant is a Psychonic that has an extremely thin, elongated, twisted body and that can be extremely deadly if not being observed. Its face is completely traumatic that will hypnotize anyone staring at it.
Memoflygian[]
The Memoflygian is a Psychonic which has a thin and elongated body, having an extremely deformed head. This Alien has the ability to read the memories of its targets and all their thoughts, and can use them against them. This Psychonic will appear physically to targets alone in the area, so it can have this action used as a loophole to be ambushed.
Solinic[]
The Solinic is a Psychonic without a definite appearance, since all those who looked at it had their minds destroyed. Its signal transmission can be distorted if several reflective materials are positioned around the environment inhabited by this Alien, generating the weakening of the creature.
Non-cataloged[]
Unlike the previous Aliens, some "species" were not cataloged by Morato, making them completely unknown and difficult to deal with.
Bilu[]
Bilu is an Alien located in the backrooms of the fifth floor of the TV Varminho's Tower. This creature makes strange noises similar to an animal and, despite having strong attacks and being quite fast, this Alien, by having a very weak body, can be easily killed, but the same can return and appear elsewhere in the maze, or the very dark room in which he left, running after the victims to attack them.
Doppelgangers[]
The Doppelgangers are Aliens that act very similar to humans, disguised as dead people to take their places. Unlike the original people, Doppelgangers act robotically but still follow their original functions. Some Doppelgangers are easily identifiable through a cut in the middle of their faces, while others only have a big smile, having only a robotic posture in the way they act.
