Alef Freneza[1]
Alef Freneza was a young man who joined the Escribes after the end of Deconjuration. He had his first appearance in the 2nd episode of Calamity, during the invasion of the mansion of the Famiglia Leone, where Gal requested his help to blow up a fridge guarding a secret passageway.[2]
Alef is killed by Naomi Akechi during the invasion of Colosseum, having been cut from the middle of his chest upwards by the young woman's katana.[3]
Appearance[]
Alef was a light-skinned man with a thin and jovial appearance, he had red hair and a messy appearance. In addition to a large part of the upper right side of his body containing severe burns, he had several Escribes tattoos visible on his left arm and neck, while also wearing a prosthesis on his right leg. Alef had a pointed-looking nose with a piercing in it. As clothing he wore a black leather jacket over a dirty and torn white shirt, brown pants and black boots. Around his neck he had aviator glasses attached, an ammunition belt that crossed his body and a bazooka that he used as a crutch.[2]
Personality[]
Alef was impulsive and extremely enthusiastic about explosions and destruction. He showed respect for Gal and the other Escribes, but his impulsiveness drove him to destroy everything necessary without a second thought, even if someone got hurt. His lack of sanity made him agitated and mocking, thus not caring about allied deaths during combat, and constantly laughing and with a macabre smile on his face.

- Alef's last name, "Freneza", means "crazy" in Esperanto.
