Alberta Magal Benza^[1]

Alberta Magal Benza is a farmer from the interior of Minas Gerais, who resides in the Zucchini Farm. She first appeared in the 1st episode of Signals from the Other Side welcoming The Five when they arrived at the Magal family house.^[2]

Appearance[]

Alberta is a middle-aged woman with a sturdy appearance, 6.04 feet tall, having brown hair tied in a bun fastened by a flower clip. She wears a white shirt with yellow and blue details, a long blue skirt with white and yellow stripes and a pair of blue sneakers. As an accessory she has a blue bracelet on her left wrist.

Personality[]

Alberta proves to be an energetic and outgoing person, usually expresses herself speaking loudly and sometimes inconvenient by her lack of subtlety. She usually wakes up early to take care of the farm animals.

Alberta was born in May 16, 1952, daughter of Sebastião Magal and Soraia Magal, being a farmer at the Zucchini Farm in Varminho, Minas Gerais, living with her husband Adágio Magal Benza and their two sons, Luan Magal Benza and Donisvaldo Magal Benza.

Signals from the Other Side[]

In 1997, at 45, Alberta is seen welcoming the team The Five during their arrival at the farm, informing about the current situation of the farm and the disappearances of Morato Vertaler and her farm helper, Jerson da Silva.

Later, she spent much of her day taking care of the farm animals, through the sick animal present in the corral.^[3] At one point, Alberta hears a loud noise coming to the back of the house and runs to the place with Stevan on her arms, and arriving there, Guizo disguised as Adágio, informs her that everything's okay, and she gives him a goodbye kies and return to her duties. During the night, she joined the others for dinner showing concern for her husband, who did not show up for dinner.

During the early hours of that same day, "Adágio" returns and places Alberta and Luan to watch the TV. With this, both are hypnotized and do not move for anything, just permanent looking at the screen with several flashing symbols, which emanates a green glow and are helped by the new visitors. After returning to consciousness, Alberta comes across the body of her "husband" and is shocked by the situation, questioning The Five about what happened and the truth behind the paranormal events that have been taking place in the farm.

Soon after, during the siege of the men in suits to the residence, Alberta hid with her children in the bedroom on the upper floor of the house.

The next day, at dawn, like all her family, Alberta seems to lack some memories. Because of this, she does not remember her own husband, Adágio. After coffee, Alberta and Luan argue with their neighbors and the police, and after Chico and Lírio stop the fight, Alberta returns to the routine activities of the farm.
