Agatha Volkomenn[2]
Agatha Volkomenn is a secondary character present in The Paranormal Order, Paranormal Order: Deconjuration, Paranormal Order: Calamity and Enigma of Fear. She was a student at the Nostradamus High School and played a crucial role in solving the case involving the school.
Her life became a nightmare after her mother, Ingrid Volkomenn, was arrested, leading to a series of murders[3] that resulted in Agatha being repeatedly bullied due to the association with her mother. During her time at school, she became involved with the paranormal due to the occultists operating there, including the principal Álvaro Augusto and two teachers. Due to the interference of her classmate Gabriel Opspor, who was investigating some disappearances at the school, the two of them ended up switching bodies through a Knowledge Passage ritual, and subsequently, Agatha ended up killing the boy. After her original body gave rise to a Degolified, she escaped from the school, hiding in her apartment until she was found and confronted by agents from the Ordo Realitas.
During the 16th episode of The Secret in the Forest, Agatha reappears in the Alpha Tower at the request of Mr. Verity, explaining that the Order would need to use more intense methods to combat the paranormal.[4] Currently, Agatha assists the Ordo Realitas with information about rituals and things related to Occultism in her shop.[5]
Appearance[]
The Paranormal Order/Initiation[]
Agatha was a young girl with fair skin, standing at 5.31 feet tall, and she had long dark hair.[6] In the photos found by the Scouting Team, she wore a white T-shirt with a red skirt, and she wore the same outfit during the Ritual.[7] Due to the body swap with Gabriel Opspor, Agatha took on the appearance of the boy, now standing at 5.57 feet tall, with short dark hair combed to the side. She also wore a dark shirt and a blue sweatshirt, which belonged to Gabriel himself. Agatha ends up getting shot in the foot by Thiago Fritz, leaving her permanently limping.[8]
The Secret in the Forest and Deconjuration[]
After her return at the end of The Secret in the Forest, Agatha shaved the sides of her hair into a gradient style. Most of the time, she wears a red shirt with a black sleeveless jacket over it, along with dark pants and black shoes with white soles and red laces.[4] Her canine teeth became sharp due to her affinity with the Blood Element,[9] and on her right arm, she has some scars.[10] On her left arm, Agatha has various occult symbols tattooed, extending up to her neck. She wears several rings on her fingers. She sports a feather earring in one of her ears and two large necklaces around her neck, one featuring a kind of gem and the other an occult symbol. She continued to maintain this appearance in Deconjuration.
Calamity[]
After a long time since the events involving Kian and the Deconjuration Order, Agatha has a different physical appearance. Her hair is longer, reaching her shoulders with a messy look. She is often seen wearing makeup on her face, specifically black eyeshadow. She still wears the same shirt and sleeveless jacket but now pairs them with denim shorts and black tights instead of her dark pants. She also sports a green jacket tied around her waist and red sneakers with black accents.[11] In the 11th episode of Calamity, Kian uses the Blade of Fear on Agatha while holding her but misses the strike due to an intervention from Aaron. The blade only partially cuts her rib, leaving her with a scar from the paranormal attack.[12][13].
Personality[]
The Paranormal Order[]
Agatha was considered by teachers and classmates to be an extremely isolated person,[6] largely due to hurtful comments comparing her to her own mother, Ingrid Volkomenn.[14] Influenced by this, Agatha began to engage in occult practices, adopting a cold and hostile personality.[15]
Deconjuration[]
Later on, Agatha began to show fewer signs of sociopathy, although she still had an interest in violent rituals and brutality,[16] especially when it involved the shedding of Blood.[17] She displayed hostility and intimidation when her abilities were underestimated and her past was questioned,[18] often choosing not to revisit events from her past.[19] Despite this, contrasting with her impulsive and irritable temperament, Agatha cares deeply about her friends and acquaintances, even though she is not good at expressing such feelings. She rarely does so, such as at the funeral of Elizabeth Webber, where she empathized with the agent's death despite the negative feelings both had harbored toward each other since their first encounter.[20] Her regret over some of her past actions is also notable, such as the murder of Gabriel Opspor.[21]
Biography[]
Past[]
Agatha Volkomenn was born on June 16, 2004, daughter of Edmar Santos and Ingrid Volkomenn. She was an ordinary young girl, a student at the Nostradamus High School until her life took a drastic turn on January 12, 2020, with her mother's arrest.[22] Ingrid Volkomenn was accused of killing over seven people and was later arrested for the crimes of the so-called "The Little Tree Killer",[3] an event that only occurred after Ingrid voluntarily subjected herself to the experiments of Eva van Gloss involving the Holy Cradle symbol.[23][24] As a result, Agatha began to isolate herself from her classmates, who made constant hurtful comments due to her mother's reputation. During this time, the school principal, Álvaro Augusto, offered her a part-time job in the library.[6]
As time passed, disappearances occurred at the Nostradamus High School, including the disappearance of student Lina Kunsti, Agatha's friend, who was one of the few people to continue treating her kindly after her mother's scandal.[14] Gabriel Opspor, Lina's boyfriend, became increasingly obsessed and motivated to investigate the disappearances after his girlfriend went missing. He eventually found Agatha in the school library accessing a secret passage leading to a bunker,[25][7] where she discovered a book of Rituals belonging to the principal Álvaro Augusto. As she was interested in reading, she began to study it in her free time.[26]
Fueled by his fears based on Agatha's family history and evidence suggesting her involvement in the disappearances, Gabriel Opspor gathered his friends Mathew Geleerd and Gustavo to record a confession from Agatha on February 28, 2020.[27] Mathew, who believed in Agatha's innocence, had warned her about Gabriel's plan because he feared that things might spiral out of control. This didn't stop her from going to school, where she found Gabriel with a knife during the night and was pressured to show him the secret bunker. There, she trapped him in a snare and performed a Ritual that caused them to switch bodies. Mathew and Gustavo, who were separated as they had gone to look for a battery for Mathew's camera, finally arrived at the bunker and saw Agatha in Gabriel's body, consumed by hatred,[28] slitting the throat of the gagged boy.[29]
The situation worsened when the dead body that Gabriel had been in transformed into a Degolified. The young friends attempted to flee, but Gustavo was the only one caught and killed by the creature. On the same night after their escape, Agatha called Mathew and encouraged him to destroy the evidence of what had happened. Returning to the school and using chemicals from the laboratory in an attempt to destroy the creature, a fire broke out.[30] In the early hours of February 29, 2020, the fire department was called, and the Degolified claimed another victim,[31] leading to the future intervention of the Order.
The Paranormal Order ans The Secret in the Forest[]
After the body switch and the fire at Nostradamus High School, Agatha remained hidden in her apartment until the Order's investigative team responsible for the school case broke in. They were ambushed by the school's occultist teachers, Olavo Costa and Matias Dennis. Agatha took advantage of the confrontation to try to escape,[32] but she was apprehended and interrogated by the agents Elizabeth Webber, Daniel Hartmann, Thiago Fritz, and her former teacher, Alexsander Kothe, who accompanied them. They attempted to extract useful information from her, with Thiago resorting to shooting her leg, causing permanent damage.[8] While successfully concealing the fact that she wasn't Gabriel Opspor, Agatha was taken by the agents to the Melindro's Laundry, where they met Mr. Verity, the leader of the Order. He intimidated her and extracted the necessary information before allowing her to escape.[33]
Months after her disappearance, Agatha attempted to become an occultist and ended up getting involved with a group of occultists, becoming merely a means for them to use her for their rituals, subjecting her to torture. After having her right arm almost completely covered in cuts,[10] Agatha eventually created the Flesh Out Ritual to protect herself.[19] At some point during this period, she was rescued by the Order. Eventually, Agatha was recruited by Mr. Verity to use her knowledge of the occultism for the Order's fight against the Other Side, initially revealed to the members of Team H.[4]
Deconjuration[]
In late 2020, while working for Ordo Realitas, Agatha had the mission of weakening the veil in an occultism room at the base. After six months of attempts, with Verity's help,[16] she finally transformed the veil in the room into the perfect balance where it was neither too dangerous nor too weak. This allowed them to Transcend and gain more power,[5] with Arthur Cervero being her first volunteer.[34] After this successful attempt, the D-Force began visiting Agatha more frequently and requesting her assistance from time to time, such as removing the Feel Through Ritual symbol marked on Arthur's back by Anthony Scelto.[17] Agatha's help extended to providing them with the necessary materials for rituals or even producing some, like human ashes she obtained through an agreement with the morgue,[35] and she also tattooed agents who wanted to mark a symbol on their skin to facilitate the performance of rituals.[36]
Reaching a level of understanding rituals even before Transcending with them,[37] Agatha used this knowledge to sell cursed items to the agents in her shop at the base. She described the effects of the rituals and allowed them to choose the abilities they wanted. Agatha did this with a smile on her face, demonstrating her excitement in manipulating the paranormal more and more in favor of Ordo Realitas. She became more amiable and established friendly relationships, such as with Arthur Cervero and Dante.
Calamity[]
In 2021, one year after the Final Day of Deconjuration and the declaration of a paranormal emergency due to the Escribes, Agatha continued to assist Dante in his research on the Other Side. The case at hand involved a video recorded and published by Cícero Gominho in Bariguara, showing a supposed Devil walking hand in hand with a Child. While Agatha discussed inconsistencies she believed to be in Kian's plan with Dante, Arthur joined them and called for a meeting with Mr. Verity regarding the Devil video. With her participation, Agatha provided details about the footage and then bid farewell to the two agents as they departed for Bariguara.
Guided to Italy by Arthur, he reported that the Escribes had arrived at Leone's Mansion before him and the Team Vultures, resulting in the massacre of the Famiglia Leone. Verity then convened with numerous reinforcement agents to temporarily transfer to Italy and join a possible confrontation with the Escribes, with Agatha being one of the participants. There, during the mansion's renovation, Agatha met with the Team Vultures on the following morning and eventually participated in Carina Leone's first Transcend Ritual. After finding some time to rest, during which Agatha and Arthur enjoyed a pasta meal in the vicinity of the mansion,[38] the young woman joined the Team Vultures in a meeting with Mr. Verity, Aaron, and Marc Menet, where they discussed the Diary of God and the Relics of Calamity. They found a clue that would lead them to the Colosseum. Upon hearing that Joui Jouki had returned from the Sect of the Masks, Agatha informed Arthur that Verity was once again assembling a group of people, this time to join the Vultures at the Colosseum. The agents arrived shortly after, but Agatha was instructed by Verity to stay in the van with the Diary of God. She had lost both cell phone and radio signals, becoming completely disconnected from the rest of the Order, which made her anxious. Eventually, Agatha noticed some Escribes heading towards the location and immediately attempted to contact those she trusted,[39] but Arthur and Dante didn't receive the messages at that moment. Finally, she decided to join the fight against the Escribes, taking the Diary of God with her.
As she ventured alone through the corridors of the Colosseum, Agatha easily defeated some Escribes but was spotted by Kian and his team, who captured her.[40] While struggling in Kian's grasp, Joui Jouki, Dante, and Carina Leone arrived, warning the First Occultist to release her. However, Kian performed the Blade of Fear Ritual in an attempt to kill Agatha.[12] Upstairs, during the Colosseum battle, Aaron shoots on Kian's arm, causing him to miss the attack and hit Agatha's ribcage instead. She passed out from the paranormal effects and dropped the Diary of God to the ground. Joui carried her to a safe corner, and she remained unconscious for most of the battle. While in a coma, Agatha muttered names like Gabriel Opspor, Elizabeth Webber, Dante, and Arthur Cervero, saying things like "I'm sorry" and "I tried".[21] After Kian's defeat, Agatha woke up while being carried by Dante closer to the group. She saw Joui dead on the ground and went into shock, blaming herself for his death and believing she had triggered those events when she decided to leave the van. Arthur comforted her with a hug, reassuring her that it was by no means her fault and that her life was important to the Order, including Joui. However, with Agatha still feeling pain from the Fear Blade wound and unable to stay conscious, she passed out again and was left resting against a pillar. Aaron later came down and carried her back.
Back in Brazil, Agatha spent most of her time in the medical wing, unconscious and receiving treatment from Marcela Geleerd.[41] When awake, she conversed with people a bit and tried to assist Dante with his research in the occultism room, but she was always sent back to rest.[42] On September 13, during the tribute to recently deceased agents, Agatha was responsible for inviting Hugo Longo, Cassiano Menta, Eduarda, and Tim Flom to participate.[43] She also talked about how terrible it was to live with the burden of guilt, always thinking she was responsible for Joui's death. She added that when she first met him, she thought he wouldn't like her because he resembled Elizabeth. Still, Joui was kind and protected her despite everything. Agatha affirmed that she would make them proud. Afterward, she was comforted by Arthur and Dante.
Enigma of Fear[]
After Mr. Verity's disappearance, Agatha went with Samuel, Mia and Lupi to the Perimeter, a place known as "the place that doesn't exist". There, Agatha was a support agent for Mia, helping her in questions of how to use the occultism and how to fight the creatures of that area. She also helped Mia to transcend for the first time, using the Immersion Ritual that an agent named Calisto had left in one of the Perimeter areas.
After the consequences of the Impossible Intervention at the Perimeter's Cathedral, Agatha appears with Samuel in the place that doesn't exist, when Lupi was trying to bring back Mia. She realizes that there was something wrong going on, before turning into an anomaly in that place. After that, she appears again when Jaser Strach replaces Mia. She notices that Jaser had a different haircut and advises him to shave Lupi.
However, after the choices of Jaser in the Other Ending, everything returns to normal, with nothing from the events of the Perimeter having happened and Verity well. A little embarrassed, Agatha sends Mia to go talk to Verity, and asks her not to tell that it was she who came driving the van. After a brief father-daughter conversation, everyone leaves together in the van to home.
Gruesome Christmas[]
In the ending of Gruesome Christmas, Agatha appears talking about how hard it had been to find two of the killers, and reacts with surprise at the arrival of the Blue Condominium Detectives with the remaining three, so that she could prepare everything to begin the ritual. However, she is also surprised to see that the team found one more of them.

Rituals[]
Knowledge Passage Ritual: This ritual has different outcomes, as seen in the case of Fernando and Luciano Carvalho, where two individuals share control of the same body. In Agatha's case, when the ritual was performed between her and Gabriel Opspor, there was a complete exchange of minds, resulting in Agatha occupying Gabriel Opspor's body, and vice versa.[44]
Flesh Out: Agatha closes her eyes and focuses on her anger, pointing her hand, electrified with red lightning, toward her target. Multiple cuts appear on the victim's body, ultimately leaving the affected areas raw and exposed.[17]
Abilities[]
Macabre Identification: Agatha possesses the Macabre Identification, a 30% Paranormal Exposure skill that allows her to easily identify paranormal objects.[45]
Cursing Bullets with Blood: Initially, Agatha could only transfer an existing curse from one object to another,[46] but eventually, she develops the ability to curse bullets with the Blood Element herself. She sells this product in her shop for BRL $500.00 for every 10 bullets.[47]
Ritual Reading: After some time, Agatha learned a skill that allowed her to "read" rituals, understanding their properties even without Transcending. She uses this ability to sell rituals in her shop.[37]

Relationships[]
- Arthur Cervero: Arthur was the first and one of the few agents to treat Agatha well and genuinely care for her. Their relationship is one of siblinghood, with Arthur treating her like a younger sister. Agatha cares about Arthur and worries about his safety.
- Dante: After the events of Deconjuration, Agatha and Dante started working together, forming a partnership and mutual respect. Dante is highly concerned about her safety, while Agatha continually tries to impress him with her knowledge of the Other Side, feeling happy when her abilities are praised by him or when they collaborate on something. While recovering after the events of the 11th episode of Calamity, Agatha, while awake, would sneak out of the medical ward at the Ordo Realitas Base to assist Dante in his research, with him advising her to take care of herself. Although she was dissatisfied that she couldn't help him more, she accepted his advice.[42]
- Eduarda Flom, Cassiano Menta, and Hugo Longo: During the period between Deconjuration and Calamity, it is known that Agatha became friends with the trio, even inviting them to the funeral of Joui Jouki and Kaiser.[43] Eduarda mentioned that Agatha helps her better understand her connection to the paranormal.[49]
- Elizabeth Webber: Elizabeth initially met Agatha, believing her to be Gabriel Opspor, and as a result, she scorned and criticized her for her actions and behavior.[50] Due to the violent treatment Agatha received from the agents, she developed resentment towards all of them, including Liz. Although they didn't directly interact after Agatha's entry into the Ordo Realitas, it is known that Elizabeth was displeased with this situation but understood the decision.[51] Upon learning of Elizabeth's death, Agatha does not express happiness,[52] and she wishes to attend the funeral but believes her presence would be disrespectful. She needs encouragement from Mia and Mia takes her there.[53] In front of Elizabeth's grave, Agatha opens up and regrets not having had the courage to make amends with Elizabeth before her passing.[20]
- Gabriel Opspor: Gabriel was one of the students at the Nostradamus High School who bullied Agatha because of her mother, so they were never close.[54] While Gabriel was investigating the disappearances at the Nostradamus School, Lina Kunsti, his girlfriend and one of Agatha's friends, also went missing, which heightened Gabriel's suspicion.[27] Believing that Agatha was responsible, Gabriel devised a plan and confronted her but was ultimately killed by her. When questioned, Agatha said that "people get what they deserve" and that she "killed the one she hated the most".[28] In the 11th episode of Calamity, while murmuring unconsciously, Agatha expressed her remorse over Gabriel's murder.[21]
- Lina Kunsti: Lina was the only person who remained friends with Agatha after her mother, Ingrid Volkomenn, was arrested, serving as Agatha's true source of support at school.[14] The significance of Lina to Agatha persisted even after her death, with Agatha stating that Lina didn't deserve what happened to her.[55]
- Mathew Geleerd: Although they weren't very close, Mathew felt empathy for Agatha's family situation and disliked seeing how she was treated by other students at the Nostradamus School. With the disappearance of Lina Kunsti, Mathew talked to Agatha and shared Gabriel Opspor's paranoia because he believed in her innocence.[14] Agatha showed concern for Mathew's safety, not liking the fact that she inadvertently involved him in Gabriel's murder. According to Agatha herself, Mathew didn't deserve to be there.[56]

- Agatha's blood type was AB-.[6] However, due to the body swap with Gabriel Opspor, her blood type became B+.[57]
- Although the exact value is not revealed, it is known that Agatha's Paranormal Exposure is greater than 50%.[58]
- The first time Agatha is seen performing a ritual was in the 16th episode of Deconjuration.[17]
- Agatha steps on blood every morning for luck, according to her.[59]
- Agatha watches TikTok videos in her free time.[60]
- According to Mr. Verity, Agatha is possibly the strongest agent in Ordo Realitas.[61]
- Agatha's favorite food is spaghetti with meatballs,[62] because of a trip she took with Arthur Cervero to Italy.[38]
- Agatha is one of the five characters featured on the back cover of the Paranormal Order RPG Playbook.
- Agatha has unique exclusive skills to her.
- Due to her involvement with Ordo Realitas and Arthur Cervero, Agatha's favorite band is Metallic Dragons.[63]
- Agatha hates Blood Zombies.[64]

- Agatha is a fan of BABYMETAL and Tanysha Swift, the correspondent of the singer Taylor Swift in the Order's universe.[66] She had already listened to a lot of Tanysha Swift before her mother’s arrest, having Lover as her favorite album in the time.[67] Although she still likes it, Agatha currently listens more BABYMETAL.[68]
- One idea that was discarded in case Agatha survived the first season was that she would seek to kill all involved in her case, as Mathew Geleerd and his parents, resulting in a different narrative involving her in the future. This plan was abandoned with the season’s development.[69]
