Aeternus is a character introduced in the add-on Surviving the Horror, representing the Death Monstrous Trail, from the Combatant class.
Appearance[]
Aeternus is a thin and decrepit-looking man. His skin is pale, almost cadaverous; his eyes are completely black and deep. He has a cadaverous nose, pointed ears and two large black stripes stand out on his face, with one sticking out of his jaw, crossing his left eye and ending in a spiral, and the other rising from his right eye to the top of his forehead, that has long black hair thrown back. Furthermore, he wears black earrings and has completely black nails.
Aeternus wears a long, partially torn black tunic underneath a large detailed black armor that covers his shoulders and torso with plates ornamented with spiral patterns; on his feet, he wears simple black shoes and, on just one hand, black leather gloves. Spirals, chains, metallic spikes and black jewelry adorn the entirety of his robes.

- From the descriptions of Aeternus' appearance and his trail, it is possible to deduce that he has at least 65% EXP.
- Aeternus means "Eternal" in Latin.[1]
- The black stripes on Aeternus' face, a consequence of his Affinity with Death, have the same shape and proportion as the stripes on Sempiternal's face in its official art[2] in the Paranormal Order RPG Playbook.
