Adágio Magal Benza[1]
Adágio Magal Benza was a farmer from the countryside of Minas Gerais, owner of the Zucchini Farm. He first appeared in the 1st episode of Signals from the Other Side during the arrival of the team The Five on his farm talking to them and informing them about Morato Vertaler.[2] Adágio was killed by the Interfloral, after the parasite emerged from within.[3]
Appearance[]
Adágio Magal was a middle-aged man with gray hair and brown eyes, 5.71 feet tall. He wore a plaid jacket, dressed over a white T-shirt, blue jeans and a pair of brown shoes. As accessories he had a light colored cap and a dry grass in the corner of his mouth.
After the Interfloral from his body emerged, and his head was blown up, Adágio takes a form with several fingers and eyes intertwined, with gray and green tones, amalgamated and long, from the region where his head remained. And his fingers had pointed shapes like claws, also greenish.[3]
After a Doppelganger took possession of his dead body, a bizarre form of Adágio arouse, with his eyes completely black and bulging, skin marks around them, with a deep look. His face has a vertical line between his eyes that runs down to his chin, as if his face had previously broken in the middle, and then both parts joined together again. There are stripes running down his neck.
Personality[]
Adágio was a shrewd person for certain times and lay to others. Presenting being someone disinterested with the things that happen around him, in which he treated visitors in his farm with freedom.

Adágio was born in March 11, 1949, son of Valmira Benza and an unknown father, who inherited from his family the Zucchini Farm in Varminho,[4] Minas Gerais, living with his wife Alberta Magal Benza and their two sons, Luan and Donisvaldo.
In some moment, an Interfloral parasitized Mamiza, one of the cows in the corral of the farm, making it an empty shell after rotting its organs and laying its eggs.[5] Eventually, the creature began to parasitize Adágio while he slept,[6] making him a nest of its larvae and spoiling his organs.[7]
Signals from the Other Side[]
In 1997, at 48, Adágio is seen welcoming the team The Five during their arrival at the farm, informing about the current situation of the farm and the disappearances of Morato Vertaler and his helper, Jerson da Silva. While receiving help from Alexandre and Lírio Tellini, Adágio shows them the agroglyph of Energy and Knowledge in his cornfield, deducing that it had been made by his neighbor.[8]
Later, during the time of fishing on the lake next to the farm’s house, Adágio was talking with Guilherme Santos and unexpectedly is pushed by Lírio towards the lake in an attempt to rid him of his Parasite Alien, but then, he's killed by the Interfloral emerging from within his body, after feeling threatened.[3]
After defeating the Alien, the Five investigate Adágio’s body, realizing that he was already dead inside, and what kept him alive was the parasite.[7] They then decide to bury his remains away from the rest of the family.[9]
